The Monmouthshire Multi Agency Centre (MAC) and Domestic Abuse Service (MODAS)

The Monmouthshire Multi Agency Centre (MAC) houses a range of different agencies to ensure that any victim of domestic abuse can attend the centre and receive expert safe, confidential, information and advice.
The agencies who currently provide a service from the Centre include:
Women's Aid - offering refuge, the Freedom Programme, Play Therapy and Male Mentoring

Kaleidoscope Alcohol Service

Kaleidoscope's vision is to provide life enhancing services to people in their communities.
In particular, support is provided to people with drug and alcohol problems, enabling them to make positive changes in their lives.
Kaleidoscope believes in providing care that is personalised to the individual's needs. A range of support is provided through programmes but what remains consistent is trying to ensure that people are given the help they need rather than providing a service that is not straightjacketed by an overriding therapeutic intervention.

Jigsaw Wales

We are a charitable group formed to facilitate peer support for individuals with mental health illness and to support carers.
We provide: 
Peer support within a group or on an individual basis
Support for carers and carers are welcome at the group
A one-to-one problem-solving structure when and if appropriate
Peer contact by text message or telephone to ascertain each other's wellbeing
A "buddy system" to ensure new friends settle in smoothly
Social inclusion to build confidence and self-esteem and to avoid individual isolation

Jigsaw - Piecing Parenting Together

JIGSAW provides support for adults who find themselves in a parenting role raising children under the age of 18, who would like to explore the effects of alcohol and substance misuse. We offer a range of practical and supportive services in response to individuals needs, from pregnancy through to young people of 18 years.

Who is it for?

Home Start Monmouthshire

Monmouthshire Homestart helps to increase the confidence and independence of families by:
Visiting families in their own homes to offer support, friendship and practical assistance.
Reassuring parents that their childcare problems are not unusual or unique.
Encouraging parents' strengths and emotional well-being for the ultimate benefit of their children. Trying to get the fun back into family life
Volunteers, who have parenting experience themselves, can offer:

Gwent Drug and Alcohol Service

Gwent Wide substance misuse service provided by a consortium made up of Kaleidoscope, Drugaid and G4S. The service provides a full range of recovery orientated services for adults over 18 who are motivated to make changes to their use of substances and will offer support to families and concerned others affected by substance misuse issues. This service also incorporate criminal justice substance misuse interventions.
These services include;

Dads Can

Dads Can is an on the ground project for young men between the ages of 14 and 25 who live in Monmouthshire and who are dads, expectant dads or are fulfilling the dad role (Grand-dads, 'step-dads', foster dads, mum's partner, older brother etc).   Dads Can aim to raise the understanding of young dads' and those around them of the important role fathers play in their children's lives – regardless of age, experience or situation.

Cyfannol Women's Aid

Cyfannol Women’s Aid is the lead domestic abuse agency in Monmouthshire and Torfaen. A charity that provides practical and emotional support, information and refuge to women and children who are experiencing domestic abuse, or have experienced domestic abuse in the past.
Cyfannol Women’s Aid provides services right throughout Monmouthshire, including Abergavenny, Monmouth, Caldicot, Chepstow and the surrounding rural communities.
