Are you serious about stopping smoking?
YOU ARE UP TO FOUR TIMES MORE LIKELY TO GIVE UP SMOKING USING 'HELP ME QUIT' THAN IF YOU GO IT ALONE.
When you decide to stop smoking you don't have to go it alone. Help Me Quit offers free, local NHS support that really works.
You will work with a trained adviser who will be able to tell you about nicotine replacement products and other aids such as Bupropion (Zyban™) and Varenicline (Champix™). You will also be able to use a carbon monoxide monitor to measure the fall in harmful carbon monoxide levels in your body.
Group sessions start a couple of weeks before you quit. Your first session helps you to plan and prepare to quit. After you quit, your group will meet to share advice and motivation. Group sessions are available in Monmouthshire in Chepstow, Abergavenny and Caldicot. Appointments are available during the day and early evening.
Does your day revolve around cigarettes? By quitting smoking you can take back control of your life. Smoking can damage all areas of your body as well as increasing the risk of cancer and heart disease. If you have children, quitting smoking will not only improve your health, it will help to protect theirs too. With support from Stop Smoking Wales you won’t give up on giving up.
