Monmouthshire Family Information Service (FIS), a part of Monmouthshire County Council, is a free, impartial service available to parents, carers, families and professionals throughout Monmouthshire.  
The Welsh Government requires every Local Authority to have a Family Information Service.  In May 2013, Monmouthshire Family Information Service received the Families First Quality Start Award meaning the FIS exceeds the requirements of the Childcare Act 2006 and are able to provide information to families at a high standard. 
Monmouthshire Family Information Service provides comprehensive information on all forms of local childcare 

We also provide information on other types of activity including dance classesgeneral activities,  sports activities and more.  
We only provide the basic details about each childcare provider in Monmouthshire. It is your responsibility to contact the childcare providers, ask the appropriate questions and visit if necessary in order to find out if the service or provider you are interested in will suit your needs.
